Memorial Golf Tournaments

The WAZIGA Zhanta Chiura Junior Championship is a premier event dedicated to nurturing young golf talent across Zimbabwe. Created in memory of Zhanta, this tournament provides a platform for junior golfers to showcase their skills, build confidence, and develop a lifelong love for the game. Beyond competition, it emphasises mentorship, sportsmanship, and holistic development—values that defined Zhanta’s own journey in golf. Each year, the championship brings together the brightest young athletes for a celebration of skill, passion, and community.

The Royal Harare Zhanta Chiura Annual Memorial Golf Tournament honors the legacy of Zhanta as an athlete whose love for golf was matched by his vision for empowering others. Hosted at the prestigious Royal Harare Golf Club, this annual event brings together players, families, and supporters in a spirited celebration of sport and solidarity.

Our Zhanta Chiura Legacy Award finalists gathered at the EU Ambassador’s Residence in Harare for a heartfelt lunch filled with connection and encouragement. Together with Dr. Maraire and Dr. Chiura, they shared their dreams, discussed their impactful projects, and celebrated the power of resilience, innovation, and hope for a brighter future.
